WHAT IS IT?
Success means different things to different people who engage in internet marketing & network marketing. No surprise there.
Beyond that point, though, we tend to stereotype this word and concept called ‘success’.
We’ve talked a lot about perspectives so this is to be expected, all the different viewpoints, but the meaning of success, it’s a very personal ideology.
Our minds race to the pinnacle of stereotypical success, let’s say a ‘Donald Trump’ type character, when in fact, many of us have no desire whatsoever to personify that kind of public figure.
Our goals and objectives surrounding what is casually referred to as being a ‘success’ can mean success on an entirely different level, even when we are talking about income.
For example …
- to a stay-at-home mom, it means being home and present to raise the kids
- to the caregiver of an elderly parent or family member it means being in the home, able to give that care and companionship, and it might even mean being able to pay for professional care
- to the dad who wants to be a part of raising young children it means not being at the office or out in field, working 80 to 100 hour weeks
- to single parents it means being able to work, produce an income, provide for the kids, and manage after school activities and sports and be in attendance at those events
- to almost all of us who do work it means more time freedom to be, and do, and have, more of what we love about life
WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR ME?
Examine your own lifestyle and circumstances. Exactly what does success or being a success mean for you as an internet marketer or a network marketer?
Your concept of success does not have to be some huge larger than life type scenario. We are not all Oprah. We do have the potential to be Oprahs true, but the reality is that we are not, and we may not even be striving for anything like that.
Your idea of success does not need to, and should not, start with a larger than life goal, like a Donald Trump. The Donald of today, did not start out being what he is now. If that’s what you are looking at, in your minds’ eye, check it, because this is extremely un-realistic.
HOW DO I GET SUCCESS?
It is probably better to start out with a goal of being generally happy in life, and happy about what you are doing, in fact, what I advocate is “Find Your Joy ~ Follow Your Bliss”.
For many folks, being able to create an income with internet marketing & network marketing that replaces what they would earn by working for someone means success. Establishing that degree of success and then scaling up to reflect an even larger footprint can also mean success for some.
For yet another segment of people, success means simply being in business for themselves, producing a reasonable income, and achieving that by doing something they love doing, thereby leaving the stress and anxiety of being trapped in a job they loathe.
Lots of networking marketing professionals and part-timers absolutely love the product they represent and this is a terrific place to start creating your idea of success. MLSP can you help move this project forward.
And if you tack on deriving fulfillment from from whatever you are doing in business, you are way ahead of the game! Do you realize why? Yes? No? The why is because you are happy and deriving and joy from what you do.
Our goals in life should really be, freedom, joy, growth, and fulfillment. This is living life on purpose, with purpose!
